Case Study - Pennaire Filtration

In August of this year, Silo Maintenance Solutions Ltd (SMS) situated at Gainsborough in North Lincolnshire, were approached by Pennaire Filtration Limited to look at the feasibility of carrying out the grit blasting and painting of twelve filtration units at the Uskmouth Power Station and situated in Newport in South Wales. A major constraint for this project was that the filtration units were not easily or readily accessible. In addition, so as to fit in with the many other onsite maintenance activities which were in turn being controlled and coordinated by Pennaire Filtration Limited, both the grit blasting and painting of the filtration units had to be completed within a time frame of only four days.
After a comprehensive site induction course and a project coordination meeting, the SMS Ltd crew, which was ably led by its team leader Neil Callaway began the exacting task of routing both the equipment and ancillary materials to the most optimum position for easy access and project utility. The twelve filtration units were to be grit blasted and painted and ultimately carried out in two distinct groups of six and these were to be subsequently completed over two single four day periods over an operational window of four weeks.
Silo Maintenance Solutions Ltd (SMS) are very pleased to announce that both aspects of this project were completed in the time frame required and to the very highest possible standard. Mr Mike Andrews of Pennaire Filtration Limited stated "We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to SMS Silo Care for all their hard work and dedication and I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending their services to anyone".
